The hosts are on a three-match winless run and head into this fixture on the back of a 3-3 draw with Tottenham. Despite going 2-0 up within the first 21 minutes, courtesy of goals from Kirsty Hanson and Rachel Daly, the Villans found themselves trailing by a goal around the hour mark after Tottenham struck three times. However, Daly came to the rescue in the final quarter of an hour which helped them salvage a point from the fixture.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are gunning for the WSL title and lead the table with 44 points from 18 matches. They defeated fourth-placed Arsenal 1-0 in their last outing and are three points ahead of crosstown rivals Manchester City.
United have already met Villa twice this season, once in the League Cup group stage, where they lost in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw, and in the reverse fixture in December when they registered a dominant 5-0 win.
